Do I need a voter ID?
To vote in Missouri, you must present a valid, unexpired photo ID. Approved forms of photo identification are:
- Missouri driver’s license or state identification card
- U.S. passport
- Military identification card, including veteran identification
You can obtain a complimentary photo ID at any Missouri Department of Revenue license office or by dialing 573-526-VOTE (8683).
If you lack an ID at your polling location, you have the option to complete a provisional ballot. Upon casting a provisional ballot, you will be given directions on verifying whether your vote was counted.
How do I vote in person?
Polling places are typically found in schools, libraries and community recreation facilities throughout the region.
St. Louis residents are able to vote at any of the 50 polling locations throughout the city. Many nearby counties provide online resources to assist you in finding your polling place — such as St. Louis County, St. Charles County and Jefferson County.
How can I vote early?
St. Louis residents are able to vote early with no reason required at these sites:
- Buder Library, 4401 Hampton Ave.
- Carpenter Branch Library, 3309 S. Grand Ave.
- Julia Davis Library, 4415 Natural Bridge Ave.
- Schlafly Library, 225 N. Euclid Ave.
- St. Louis City Election Board, 300 N. Tucker Blvd.
- Walnut Park Library, 5760 W. Florissant Ave.
St. Louis County residents are able to vote early at the Board of Election office located at 725 Northwest Plaza Drive in St. Ann, as well as at these additional locations:
- North County Rec Complex, 2577 Redman Road, Black Jack
- UMSL Millennium Student Center, 17 Arnold B Grobman Drive, Normandy
- St. Johns UCC Mehlville, 11333 St Johns Church Road, Mehlville
- Daniel Boone Library Branch, 300 Clarkson Road, Ellisville
- Grand Glaize Library Branch, 1010 Meramec Station Road, Manchester
- Mid-County Library Branch, 7821 Maryland Ave., Clayton

St. Charles County residents are able to vote early at the St. Charles County Election Authority office at 397 Turner Blvd., St. Peters.
Jefferson County voters may cast an early ballot in person at the Election Authority’s office at 729 Maple St., Hillsboro.
In Franklin County, early voting is available at the County Clerk’s office in the Government Building at 400 E. Locust, Room 201, Union. Additional details are available here.
